These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our Tax File Number (TFN) download service (“Service”) and the Travellers at Work Mail service (“Mail Service”) provided by BackpackersTFN (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our Service or Mail Service, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our Service.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using our Service or Mail Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We may update or modify these terms at any time, and such changes will be effective upon posting to this page.
BackpackersTFN Service
- The BackpackersTFN service is available to backpackers and travellers only, for the purpose of managing personal TFN mail items while temporarily in Australia.
- This service is for individual use only. Each person is allowed only one account. Any mail for other persons (such as friends, partners, or spouses) will be automatically returned to the sender.
- This service cannot be used to receive internationally redirected mail.
- To verify your account and receive scannable letters via email, BackpackersTFN may ask you to verify your account by supplying a copy of photo identification or your passport.
- This service is not available to Australian residents.
- This service cannot be used for business or commercial purposes.
- BackpackersTFN reserves the right to open mail that appears to be fraudulent or dangerous.
- BackpackersTFN reserves the right to cancel any mail service account that appears to be fraudulent in nature and notify the necessary parties.
- Mail accounts which violate these terms will be cancelled. Refunds will not be offered.
- Bank and credit cards are treated as non-scannable items.
- Due to administration and processing costs, the BackpackersTFN Mail Service is a non-refundable product. Change of mind purchases are not permitted.
Use of Service
- Our Service is for personal use only and is intended to assist in receiving and managing your TFN.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and any activities that occur under your account.
- You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
TFN Information
- Your TFN is processed and stored securely for a maximum of 14 days after your service is completed.
- We will not share your TFN with any third parties, except when required by law.
- We take all reasonable measures to protect your TFN from unauthorized access.
Payment and Billing
- All payments for our Service and Mail Service are processed securely through Stripe.
- You agree to pay all applicable fees for the services you use.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BackpackersTFN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or Mail Service, including but not limited to the loss of TFN documents or data, service interruptions, or any errors in processing.
Data Retention and Security
- We implement strict security measures to protect your data, including encryption and regular audits.
- Your TFN and personal data are retained for a maximum of 14 days after service completion. We securely destroy any personal data after this period.
Third-Party Services
We do not share your personal information or TFN with third parties except:
- When required by law or to comply with legal obligations.
- For fraud prevention or investigation purposes.
Your Rights
- You may request access to your personal information at any time.
- You may request the correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal restrictions.
- You may withdraw your consent for non-essential services.

Governing Law
